We are pleased to offer this RARE Dessert Set manufactured by Arabia (Finland) in the Rio (Gold) pattern. These pieces feature a modern design in both shape and decoration, representing one of Arabia’s early attempts at creating fine porcelain dinnerware.

Each cup measures 3” across the opening and stands 2 5/8” tall. Each saucer measures  5 1/8” across. Each dessert plate measures 6 7/8”. The larger serving plate measures 10 7/8”.

The form for this pattern was designed by Raija Tuumi and the decoration by Raija Uosikkinen in 1965. The date mark indicates that these were produce close to when the pattern was discontinued.

Overall, the pieces are in very good to excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or discoloration. The gold  is in very good to excellent condition with some occasional light wear and rosing. The plates have light surface scratching from use and various manufacturing imperfections, such as dimples, stray gold or indentations. Please review the photos carefully prior to purchase.
