Description

Here for your consideration is a carved, lovingly made Shenandoah Valley Folk Art ROOSTER. The net weight is 2 lbs. It is 11 1/2 " H 16" L and 6" D. The wood could be pine but I am not certain. It does not weigh as much as a hardwood object but it is still stable when placed on a flat surface.  Beside the nice outline and proportions there are some unique touches to the design. I love the folksy but contemporary styling of the body, carving of the tail, polka dots and the eyes. I have seen chicken carved by the same hand but have not owned one.  I grew up in a small town and hearing a rooster greeting the new day was a fact of life. While in NYC where I live one can keep any number of live chickens it is illegal to keep a live rooster (go figure). Glancing at this in the morning has always given me an optimistic impulse for the day. The shipping is by FDX with tracking, calculated to the buyer's exact zip code.
Your considering my listing is much appreciated.

About Us

I am a part time seller. I make an effort to package things properly (using recycled materials at no charge to buyer) and mail things quickly.

Please understand that at my post office they do not upload the shipping label scans to the system right away, sometimes only days later and it seems I have not mailed the package while actually it is on the way. I notify buyers when I will mail the item and 99% of the time I hold to that schedule.

I have been a buyer on eBay for years before I also started selling and I have had very good experiences and I strive to offer similar  fair and good services to my customers. Please let me know if you noticed  an error in a listing description so that I could correct it and if there was any misalignment with an order please also let me know so that I could attend to it.

My feedback rating speaks for itself, I hope, so feel confident to bid on my items.
