Large 20.1" Wonderful bronze African Ancestor statue of the MANGBETU tribe from D.R. Congo. 

Beautifully made, with plenty of details, tribal coiffure on the head, earrings of bronze bells and white beads. Several ceremonial attributes on the body like bells and leather pouches. Very nice tribal figurations all over the statue. It has a beautiful age related brown patina.

This statue is of high quality and was made with the - cire perdue technique-, and is therefore unique in its kind. Beautifully finished off in detail.

Good condition, but with signs of use and normal holes of cast glitches. Open at the bottem, so it is not a jar. Please study the photos well.
