This is a lovely original watercolour painting by the renowned Irish artist, ROBERT BEATTIE.
The painting features a typical thatched Irish cottage in Donegal with a stack of turf at the side of the building.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Robert Beattie held a Diploma in Art and an Art Teacher’s Certificate from the Belfast college of Art and his main area of expertise was painting.
In 1950 Robert Beattie was appointed as Head of Art at Larne Grammar School, a post he was to hold for 29 years.
Robert Beattie passed away in April 2011.
FRAME
The original artwork is held within a cream coloured mount within a traditional gold coloured brushed wooden frame. The item is also glazed.
All fixtures and fitting to the rear ready for hanging.
