We are selling this antique, circa late-to-mid 19th century gilt on bronze hand mirror. Made in France, the mark is in the side edge of the handle, shown in our photos. Gorgeous raised center oval design of dogs, horses in country side; a post hunt scene. Design has inlay enamel outlines in white and dark blue. Gorgeous open work of bow and cascading ribbon along the top. The edges have a raised leaf detail as does the handle. The tip of the handle is a beautifully rendered acanthus leaf. The center design shows aging as does the mirror which is common in pieces of this age. The mirror has no chips, just age marks. It has a loose feel but it is intact with no damage nor repairs, a heavy, solid mirror. We displayed it on a wall using a plate hanger. It measures 10.5” in length, 5” in width and .5” thick. Please see our photos as the are part of our description. We wrap well and ship via USPS Priority Mail within the USA lower 48 states or by UPS within California. We maintain a non smoking and pet free household.
