   This rugged looking, environment friendly, fair trade bag is a product from rural villages of the Himalayan Mountains in Nepal. It is made from buffalo hides,which are bi-products from dead animals, collected from surrounding villages using traditional tanning methods. 

   Traditional tanning process includes sun drying, soaking in salt, manual kneading and stretching. Dhairo leaves, an indigenous plant are used for natural tanning. And the leather is treated with mustard oil which softens and preserves it and is then ready to be cut and hand sewn using handmade cotton yarn into shape. As a result, this simple, stylish, strong and durable fair trade buffalo leather bags are made. 

   The bags will look better in time as you use it.
