Replacement parts for 1973 Sports Illustrated Bowl Bound College Football Game!
Replace your lost, broken, or fragile pieces with these newly remanufactured replacements. Enjoy playing this great game without the risk of breaking (or losing!) the decades old original pieces.
Features of the new design vs the original 1973 version include (See pictures for details):
A. Improved "slide-ability". Multiple versions were produced and tested to achieve the best results.
B. Improved strength. Original featured a hollow center on the football, creating very thin plastic walls that over time are increasingly fragile. (Also: the original slider "cross bar" on the football indicator was only 1.4mm thick (very thin). This version is desgned for around 3mm.
C. Improved visibility. Due to the nature of 3D printing, recreating the original hemisphere shape is difficult without having to glue pieces together. Producing a more "flattened" football not only resolved this issue, but in play the flat version proved much easier to read the location (yard line) with.
Game board is NOT included. The set contains only the following:
