THIS IS A HIGH QUALITY REMANUFACTURED OIL FILTER

The seal on this new oil filter is supple whereas on new old stock filters the seal may have gone brittle. This may mean that the seal will either snap when you take it out of the packet or when you come to seal the bowl it will not make a proper seal and the oil will disperse out of the bowl.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare for spill of oil.

2. Unscrew the retaining bolt and remove the filter cover.

3. Withdraw and discard the used element, noting the position of any internal washers and distance pieces.

4. Clean the filter casing of accumulated sludge and fit the new gasket carefully in the base of the groove, avoiding twisting.

5. Remove the tape from the washers, noting the order.

6. Reassemble with a new element, making sure that the internal washers are correctly positioned, and tighten the retaining bolt securely.

7. Add oil to the crankcase to bring oil to correct level on dipstick.

8. To check for leaks, run the engine for 5 minutes and if necessary further tighten the retaining bolt and re-check oil level on dipstick
