Original Herald from Uruguay and Argentina in South America. This kind of gorgeous heralds are quite scarce, they were printed by a local distributor (Max Glücksmann) just during a short period of time between the late 1920's and the late 1930's. Usually printed on both sides, in full color or in duotone inks featuring Art Deco style, they show great graphics from the films advertised. Most advertise a single feature movie, while a few examples advertise double movie programs.

Comments:
Five Star Final is a 1931 American pre-Code drama film directed by Mervyn LeRoy and starring Edward G. Robinson, Aline MacMahon (in her screen debut), and Boris Karloff, about the excesses of tabloid journalism. The film was written by Robert Lord and Byron Morgan based on the 1930 play of the same name by Louis Weitzenkorn; the title refers to the contemporary practice of newspapers publishing a series of editions throughout the day, marking its final edition front page with five stars and the word "Final." "Five Star Final" is also a font introduced during World War I and favored by newspapers at the time for its narrow type.

The film was nominated at the 5th Academy Awards (1931/1932) for Best Picture, but lost to Grand Hotel.

Newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst was greatly offended by the film, which he interpreted as a thinly veiled attack on him and his operation, giving it negative reviews in his papers and putting pressure on theaters not to show it.
