Here is a very nice, early Van Briggle Pottery vase with a curdled matte blue green glaze on their red or chocolate clay. It is number 336 in the shape book, designed in 1905, height unknown, and the design is called "Plain". It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. It measures 4 3/4 inches tall and 5 7/8 inches in diameter at the widest. Marks include the firm's double AA box mark, shape number 159, and the date, 1906. A beautiful glaze on an early, dated vase from the famous Colorado Springs art pottery.
