A vintage (1950s or 60s) post card of a Trans Caribbean Airways Douglas DC-8.

Trans Caribbean Airways was in operation from 1945 until 1971, when it was bought by American Airlines. The DC-8 was in production from 1958 to 1972; first under the Douglas Aircraft Company name (1958 - 1967) then as a McDonnell-Douglas product (1967 - 1972).

We're not sure of the exact DC-8 model depicted, but given that the image is an artist's representstion, not a photograph and based on the style of the image, WE ARE GUESSING that this post card was printed sometime between the   late 1950s and mid 1960s. Having said that, WE could be wrong, so if you have any better information on this piece, please let us know and we'll update this post as appropriate.

Regardless of the exact printing date, this is a great piece of aviation history. Buy it today!!
