The most common form of laser rangefinder operates on the time of flight principle(TOF) by sending a laser pulse in a narrow beam towards the object and measuring the time taken by the pulse to be reflected off the target and returned to the sender.

Our rangefinders also use this technology to enable a fast distance measurement. While it's possible to use trigonometry to make distance calculations, most people who use rangefinders for sports or photography rely on it to make the job easier.

SO, WHAT ARE LASER RANGEFINDERS USUALLY USED FOR?

GOLF

Golf courses and many local tournaments allow for the use of laser rangefinders, as long as you make sure you only use the feature to measure distances from your target. In golf, knowing the distance to the target assists you in choosing the right club on your next swing. Some units can even focus on the flag automatically to make things easier for you.

You have to turn off the slope measurements function during the tournaments; otherwise, you're not allowed to use the device. Please note that in our product line, 1200 yard GS-1, the model designed especially for golfing, is the only one with this turn-off feature. In comparison, other specifications are only with the function of golf slope turn-on.

HUNTING

Laser rangefinders can help you make more accurate rifle shots. That's because you can zero in on your target much better when you know their precise distance to you.

Our units even consider the elevation angle to help you shoot more accurately. It's great if you're also using a bow for hunting.

LONG-DISTANCE RANGE SHOOTING

This sport requires knowing exactly how far your target is away from you. It's challenging to hit the bull's-eye when you're just estimating the distance by your eyes.

When you're shooting past 600 yards, you really need a rangefinder to be sure.

MILITARY

Snipers tend to use rangefinders a lot. Handheld military rangefinders can provide many different types of info, including the inclination and size.

REAL ESTATE

This gives the realtor and the buyer a handy way to calculate the size of the property. They can measure the lengths of the boundaries much more accurately. Since the price of a property is often given per square foot, these precise measurements can lead to the right price.

FORESTRY

There's a lot of measurement work in forestry, from measuring distances to measuring the height of trees. With a laser rangefinder, the work is much easier.

CONSTRUCTION

The rangefinder offers a safe and accurate way to gauge distance in the construction industry. With this device, you can find out the size of an area and verify the percent grade of a slope. In addition, you can quickly spot-check for potential obstructions and confirm overhang clearances.

AIRPORTS

With this device, you can conveniently check and measure any issue with your runway safety area and taxiway safety area.

For example, you can check the slope and height of your radio and lighting facilities. And you can find out the distance between two objects along your runway.

Inspecting an airfield becomes a whole lot easier with a rangefinder.

MINING

It would help if you had accurate measurements for blasting so that you can achieve optimal mine productivity and worker safety. But unfortunately, traditional methods of obtaining such measurements are no longer acceptable with the advent of laser rangefinders.

FEATURES

1. Ergonomic Design and Rich Functions

a.     L Mode (Linear Distance)

b.     H Mode (Horizontal Distance)

c.     V Mode (Vertical Distance)

d.     Golf Mode with Slope Compensation and Flagstick Locking Function

e.     Height difference Mode

2.   Quickly Feedback

No matter far or near, this device only takes 0.3S to fetch the distance information.

3.   Reliable Accuracy

It features a 6x Magnification eyepiece and multi-coated objective lenses with maximum accuracy of ±0.5 yard. The eyepiece is 18mm in diameter, and if you can't see the object clearly, adjusting the eyepiece slightly may help you observe clearly.

4.   Stable Data

Using the sensor fusion algorithm of international, you can get a stable and reliable output from complex environments. Moreover, under the influence of challenging weather conditions, the performance of ranging capability is more than 50% higher than that of similar products in the industry.

5.   SAFETY

This rangefinder is an eye-safe Class I laser product with a wavelength of 905nm and less than 0.5mW average power output, which is safe under all conditions of normal use. Water/dust resistance: IP54 rating.

6.   Auto Power-off: If no operation within 10 seconds, this device will automatically shut down after saving the latest setting.

Measurement Units of this device:  Meter and Yard

The Yard and Meter are both used for measuring physical distances but differ in their presence and usage across the globe.

A yard is an English unit used for length, initially used for twigs, measuring rods, and branches. Length is measured in yards in the British empire and the US measurement system.

One Yard equals 3 feet. In terms of inches, one Yard is equal to 36 inches.

Nowadays, the Yard is still used to measure the playing field in some countries. Like American football and cricket, pitches are divided into yards. And a golf course that requires each hole to be yards long.

In 1959, the United Kingdom, United States, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia switched to the International Metric System that comprised values of one Yard equal to 0.9144 meters.

Meter is the standard measuring unit used for all kinds of length measurements worldwide.

One Yard equals 0.9144 meters, while one Meter equals 1.094 yards.

How to switch between Yard and Meter?

To select the preferred unit of measurement, you need to press and hold the Mode button for about 3 seconds.

This device will indicate Yard as 'YD' and Meter as 'M.'

YD is displayed on the upper right of the crosshair, and M is shown on the lower right.
