Antique Zsolnay Pecs Oil Lamp standing 56cm tall overall.

The base of the oil lamp is an Iznik style reticulated globe shape, with a turquoise and gold decoration on a muted peach ground. The matching font drops neatly into the base and sits upon brass banding. The ornate footed brass plinth is fixed, however, it can be dismantled and this is where the impressed “ZSOLNAY PECS” mark can be found.

The font is fitted with a lugged Hinks collar and a Messengers Number 2 rise and fall burner. The wick winders, rise and fall mechanism and snuffer all work well and a new wick has been fitted along with an unbranded flat bulge chimney in good condition.

A beautiful antique globe shaped shade in excellent condition sits upon a 10cm fitter and is profusely acid etched with flowers, leaves, ribbons and swags.
