This is a fine antique British sterling silver and mother of pearl knife and fork set made by Joseph Rodgers of Norfolk Street in Sheffield. The handles are textured mother of pearl and the metal parts are hallmarked sterling silver for Joseph Rodgers, Sheffield, 1864, and bearing the duty mark for Queen Victoria. The blade of the knife has stylized ivy leaves across the top on both sides. The fork measures 8 inches long and the knife is 9 inches long. There is a repaired split to the mother of pearl on the underside of the handle of the fork, otherwise, both the fork and the knife are in very good, antique, condition.
