HIGH-DEMAND
KEYCAPS FOR APPLE IIe

INFO. NEEDED WHEN ORDERING
APPLE IIe KEYCAPS:
(1) What color is the BOTTOM of your keycaps:  OLIVE GREEN
or BLACK?
(2)  Does your IIe keyboard have a NUMERIC KEYPAD at the right?
(3)  If I lack the correct bottom color of your keycaps, can the
other bottom color be substituted?
(4)  What is the color of your KEYSWITCH STEMS: Either
round BLACK-CROSS-STEM  or  THIN-CREAM-STEM ?
(5)  If the keycap is WIDE, how many "cross-sockets" are
on the keycap's bottom side?  For most keycaps, there is
just one cross-socket; a few keycaps have two or even
three cross-sockets.

These were salvaged from several 1984-1989
junked IIe keyboards, with olive-green keycaps.

 Plenty of olive-green-bottom
keycaps are available, with the
cross-mount on the bottom of the
keycap. Both the black and the "thin-
white-stem" key-switches are still
available.

The photos show olive- green keycaps; some
with olive-green bottoms, others with
black bottoms. Specify which bottom
color is preferred.

The $3.40 price is for each item,
but higher price of $6.80 each for
SPACEBAR or ESC.

$3.40 each, except that TWO are
double this price @ $6.80 each:
SPACEBAR and  ESC. These two
are very high demand, and are
often out-of-stock. If buying the
SPACEBAR, tell me its LENGTH
NEEDED; the Apple IIe keyboards
had three different spacebar lengths.

NO GUARANTEE ON THE KEYCAP COLOR!
Note that the IIE keycaps are nearly
40 years old.  Color changes are likely
to happen to plastic during that very
long time interval.

"HIGH-DEMAND" IIE KEYCAPS:
These are now sold in this Ebay ad,
at a higher price, because the "H.D."
keycaps are in high demand. The "H.D."
IIe keycaps include the following:

SPACEBAR     DELETE      SHIFT   RETURN
OPEN-APPLE    CLOSED-APPLE    TAB
ENTER     ESC    CONTROL    CAPS-LOCK
The price for the SPACEBAR or ESC keycaps
is $6.80 each, with no minimum number.

For the two most popular keycaps:
SPACEBAR or ESC, purchase limit is
one of each, per buyer, @ $6.80 each.

(editorial comment)
REGARDING APPLE II
"KEYCAP SHARKS"
I looked through the Ebay ads at others' offers
for these keycaps - some are charging as high as
$8.95 each for these keycaps or keyswitches.
Yes, $8.95 for EACH KEYCAP!  That high price
is outrageously disgusting.  No one at the annual
KansasFest conference overcharges at all; Some
at K-Fest give away their surplus items for free.
The Ebay predators who overcharge are not part of
the Apple II community; they are "sharks" who have
heard that there is big money to be made from Apple
II loyalists. These "sharks" would likely sell admission
tickets to their mother's funeral if they believed that
anyone would pay. They calculate that Apple II users
are so desperate for particular items that they will pay
ridiculously high prices.  I hope that my lower price
on these keyswitches and keycaps underprices
all the sharks, and puts them out of business!

INTERNATIONAL:  SALES

TO OTHER COUNTRIES

During the past three years, I sold keycaps via Ebay's

Global Shipping Program (GSP). But now, I am

returning to international first class mail because

correspondents report that Ebay's GSP fees are

extremely high when lightweight small items

such as keycaps are shipped.  International

first class rates are approx, $17.00 dollars

for a small shipment of ten keycaps, to

approx. $19.00 for a full set of keycaps.  Any

overpayment above actual postage cost

will be refunded to the buyer immediately

after the shipment has been mailed.  S.B.
