The 0.96 inch OLED I2C display has a resolution of 128x64 pixels. It is high-contrast and can be connected directly to the I2C bus with just four connections thanks to the integrated display controller SSD1306. The display features innovative OLED technology. OLED doesn't need an elaborate backlight like some LCD displays. With OLEDs, the pixels are directly stimulated to light up. By resoldering the "address resistor" (4,7kΩ) on the back, the display can be switched from address 0x3C to address 0x3D. Don't be misled by the fact that the addresses 0x78 and 0x7A are printed there. For the Arduino you need to divide the addresses by 2. This allows you to operate 2 displays in parallel without using an additional I2C multiplexer.
See the Downloads tab on our homepage for several sample Arduino sketches and other technical documentation.
We offer these monochrome displays in the colors white, blue and yellow-blue. Please note that the yellow-blue display has a gap of one pixel in height between the two color areas.
To program the 0.96 inch OLED I2C display, you need the two libraries Adafruit SSD1306 and Adafruit GFX and the Wire-library for the I2C interfacewhich you can download and install using the Arduino software.
