Elle

Né aux Iles de la Madeleine, Jean-Pierre Cyr a été bercé par la musique depuis sa plus tendre enfance. Il a vite réalisé l'importance que prendrait pour lui la musique et la chanson dans sa vie « je savais que son destin m'amènerait à la chanson un jour au l'autre... ». Jean-Pierre Cyr a réalisé la majeure partie de ses chansons entre dix-neuf et trente ans. Ses principales influences à l'époque étaient : Félix Leclerc / Barbara / Léo Ferré / Maxime Leforestier / Jacques Brel / Julos Bocarne / Yves Duteil. En 1983 il fait ses premières expériences de scène et chante pendant sept ans dans différentes boîtes et cabarets du Québec. Il gagne, en 1987 au concours provincial « Tremplin » les deux premiers prix l'un du jury et l'autre du public catégorie auteur compositeur avec les chansons « Elle » - « Mademoiselle » et « Les Vieux » que nous retrouvons d'ailleurs sur l'album. Après un long parcours, parsemé de projets connexes à la musique, il réalise enfin son plus grand rêve en créant un album de treize chansons dont il signe les textes et la musique. Il s'entoure ainsi d'artistes de talents reconnus dans le milieu artistique tels : Réjean Yakola au piano ( qui accompagne Yves Duteil en tournée) Steve Normandin à l'accordéon, Gilles Sioui à la guitare, Claude Demers et Denis Tremblay du Studio Selecson à la réalisation du cd etc.

Born in the Magdalen Islands, Jean Pierre Cyr was immersed in music since his youth. He quickly realised the importance that music took in his life «I knew that my destiny would bring me to music one day or the other...» . Jean-Pierre Cyr wrote the majority of his songs between the ages of nineteen and thirty years. His main influences were: Félix Leclerc / Barbara / Léo Ferré / Maxime Leforestier / Jacques Brel / Julos Bocarne / Yves Duteil. In 1983 he learns the art of the stage and sings for the next 7 years in many different venues across Quebec. In 1987 he wins the «Tremplein» provincial contests both first prizes from the Jury and the other from the public in the signer songwriter category for the songs «Elle» - «Mademoiselle» and «Les Vieux» that are found on the album. After many projects involving music, he fulfilled his dream by creating an album of which he composed the music and lyrics for the thirteen songs. He surrounded himself by accomplished musicians such as: Réjean Yakola on piano (who tours with Yves Duteil) Steve Normandin on accordion, Gilles Sioui on guitar, Claude Demers and Denis Tremblay from Studio Selecson on the production of the record.
