You may be aware that YouTube has a variety of relevant short and long videos on repairing novel and comic book defects.
It's not difficult and requires few supplies, but it is does take careful time (about an hour) to neatly repair covers.

Notes for further reading:

We're not a comic or book store yet want to try to advertise within the agreed numerical and descriptive guidelines of conventional grading using an Overstreet guide.
We want you to be happy, no one needs returns and our item pictures are an important guide to condition.
If you take the time, by eBay message, to help us correct perceived inaccuracies, a modest remuneration will be gratefully applied to your purchase.
We prefer to undersell, overdeliver and let the price help guide your decision to buy.

All of our Comic, Sci-Fi and Graphic Novels selling on eBay (about 600) were owned by 1 collector who ended his broad and varied collecting tendencies in about 1992.
Some of our more recent (1960's on) Comics, Graphic Novels and Sci-Fi issues are priced to allow you to submit to more official grading if you like this sort of thing.
Particularly interesting examples are listed as "Grade Quality" and were acquired, packaged and stored over 30 years ago.
You may find these Grade Quality examples worth the cost and time of your favorite grading processors.

You may know that the inexpensive, if less timely, "Media Mail" is not available for most vintage comics, pulp and science fiction novel shipping due to the ads within which are "not approved".
Happily individual magazine and paperback novel items below 1 pound are not much more costly than Media Mail by normal USPS shipping.

Our magazines and novels will be shipped in envelopes within backed, cushioned and water-resistant packing.
Larger packages are boxed as appropriate to the item or lot.

That's all.
