Mid-Victorian Staffordshire pottery King Charles spaniel decorated with copper lustreware glazing against a cream lead-glazed earthenware background. The dog has yellow eyes and is wearing a collar with a leash chain that loops around its body. This dog has a rounded back, unlike later date models of poorer quality that had flat backs. Lovely piece of English interior decorating.

Made in Staffordshire, c. 1850's.
