This is for one Harris 028-110821-002 5W class A 5-6GHz Power Amplifier with 13dB gain 10.0Vdc Drain voltage and comes with a 2 inch SMP to SMA male adapter cable. This is a 2 sage distributed pair amplifier with an internal output isolator.These have been tested and are very suitable for the 5760 ham band. The ground/return for the +10V supply must be the amplifier case. Do not use the ground pin for this! This pin is the reference point for the Vdet. power monitor output. As with all GaAs FET amplifiers the gate bias which is shown on the top of each amplifier must be applied before the 10V drain voltages are applied.
The easy way to achieve these two gate bias voltages is to use a 20 ohm resistor from ground to each bias pin and a 20 ohm variable resistor from each bias pin to a 2 volt negative 3 terminal adjustable regulator. Power both gate pins first, then adjust both pots to zero ohms so to apply 2.0V to each gate pin.
Now you can apply +10V to all 3 Drain pins.
Be sure the amplifier is on a suitable heat-sink.
Now, while measuring the gate voltage on each pin, adjust the voltage from -2.0v to the value specified on that pin.
