HISTORY/MARKS: Charles Field Haviland was the nephew of David Haviland.

Charles Field in 1858 married Loiuse Alluaud, the granddaughter of the Alluaud porcelain family. In 1876 management of the firm was entrusted to Charles Field Haviland and the pottery's name was changed prior to his retirement in 1881. The partnership of Gerard, Dufaisseix & Morel took over. The whiteware mark was changed to have the GDM under the CFH. Morel ceased to be a partner in 1890.
