I am not sure of the wood but it is unstained so you can stain it to your liking. It has one little knob

missing on the neck of the violin. I would think it could be duplicated by a handy woodworker.

The smaller shelf is 3 1/2" depth and the larger shelf is 4 1/2". The widest part of the wood is 5 1/2".

This would be great in a music room or for anyone that plays the violin.
