Exquisite antique porcelain figure of a young boy, holding a pot plant in bright pastel colours.

Marked with the thin blue sceptre of KPM, appears to date to 18th century.Very rare figurine from the early years of the KPM factory.

The Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin or Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, was founded in 1763 by King Frederick II of Prussia (also known as the Great) in a time when private enterprises were attempting to establish the production of "white gold" (i.e. porcelain) in Berlin from the mid-18th century onwards.
