The patented Berserker Series is for high performance street / track use. The Berserker Series
utilizes the same upgraded, premium components as the Crusader Series.
The Berserker now gives the street/track enthusiast a “streetable” performance valving that
is specific to their specific use and vehicle.
***Further, both the compression and rebound can be revalved by Viking or an authorized rebuilder.
As you know, the Viking offering has a huge amount of part numbers. With the introduction of
the expanded Berserker Series, certain products will be discontinued. In regards to the struts, the Warrior Series (Part Numbers starting with “J2”) will no longer be offered. These items will now transition to the Berserker Series (Part Numbers starting with “J4”).
Recommended baseline points for adjusting your Viking struts are as follows:
-Ride Quality/Street: Front: 4 - 7 compression; 1 - 5 rebound
-Handling: Front: 8 - 10 compression; 7 - 11 rebound
-Autocross: Front: 10 - 14 compression; 11 - 15 rebound
The handling and autocross settings will vary depending on spring rate. If extra firm springs are utilized,
the compression setting might be set softer and the rebound setting firmer.
-Drag Racing: Front: 12 - 18 compression; 0 - 4 rebound
-Drag Racing: Front: 12 - 18 compression; 2 - 8 rebound (600-900 HP)
-Drag Racing: Front: 12 - 18 compression; 4 - 12 rebound (>900 HP)
