This is a superb antique Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze) Letter Holder. 

The bronze plaque on the front depicts a trio of kittens eating and drinking surrounded by grape vines and bottles. The insignia on top says Vivat Sequens and Katzenjammer is shown along the bottom.  The translation is "Long Live" the cats.   Fantastic!  The bronze work is gorgeous.  The cat in the middle appears to have eaten or drunk too much!  The letter holder dates to circa 1880-1920. This is one of the most delightful cat motif Vienna Bronzes we have seen.

The letter holder is 9 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide.
