This is an original Vietnam War Era USN USMC VHF/NAV  C 996A Radio Communication Console Control Box.  It is 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 8 inches.   This type of VHF/NAV control box was probably used in the Helicopters, Prop aircraft and some jets.
