Handle Finish: The handle is sanded to 3000 grit, coated in 3 coats of tung oil and buffed with brown/white polishing compounds and then finished with carnauba wax for high gloss finish.
Most Of Japanese knives have different size tangs so you will require final fitting. There is a 12mm. diameter wooden dowel pin inside the handle which has a slot and it is long enough to fit recommended size blade. If the blade does not fit the main tang hole then you'll need wider bolster hole which needs to be done by a fine rasp or file.
