Self-adhesive  My badges are very sticky (most vehicle manufacturers use sticky badges these days) so wont fall off, even during a steam-clean. However it wont stick so well to a nicely polished surface, so before you put it on clean off any car polish using a suitable detergent eg petrol, white spirit.
