The Story: Bored housewife (Severance) is accidentally shanghaied by a charismatic landscape worker (Zane) and driven to a distant countryside lake. Her growing attraction to this hunky stranger and his gorgeous female companion (Karasun) keeps her from leaving. Fueled by the seductive lifestyle of her two new friends and memories from her scandalous past, her passions ignite. She must decide whether to return to her safe suburban life or plunge headlong into the world of wild abandon in the dark waters of Lake Consequence.

Comment: File this under 'guilty pleasures'... a drugstore romance set to film. A bored housewife plunges headlong into a brief but torrid affair. Joan Severance (Black Scorpion, See No Evil Hear No Evil, Bird on a Wire, Last Seduction II, numerous TV roles, including national ad campaigns for Chanel, Versace, Breck, Clairol, English Leather, L'oreal) is well cast as the bored housewife. Billy Zane (Titanic, The Phantom, Dead Calm, Survival Island) is the perfect stranger - strong, silent, aloof. But May Karasun, Zane's free-spirited female friend steals the show when she emerges from Lake Consequence (think Botticelli The Birth of Venus). This is Karasun's only screen appearance, but it will not be soon forgotten. This cast is set into a beautifully made film - what you would expect from the dynamic duo Zalman King and Rafael Eisenman (Delta of Venus, Two Moon Junction, Wild Orchid, Red Shoe Diaries).

Per the label, the film has 90 minute running time and is presented in full-screen 4:3 format;  with English audio, no subtitles. This movie-on-demand MOD archive title on recorded media is new and factory sealed. The DVD disc is Region 1, NTSC format, specifically designed to play on DVD players in North America. It may not play on a PlayStation or similar game device.
