History: As a teenager growing up in the midwest during the mid-1970’s, I was surrounded by all kinds of great toys, games, and trading cards. I set out to collect as many card sets as I possibly could – football cards, Batman cards, Wacky Packages, and, of course, Topps Comic Book Heroes Sticker Cards. I remember a small country store near Carey Park in Hutchinson, KS that stocked many of these treasures. I also remember going to Duckwall’s Five & Dime at Northgate Shopping Center to spend those extra dimes to procure trading cards as well – that’s right, 10 cents a pack! I am the original owner of this set, and I feel that now is the time to send them on to a new home to let someone else enjoy these cards.

The SERIES 1 Topps Comic Book Heroes Sticker Cards is a 40-card set. In the description I used the hyphenated years 1974-1975. Some of the cards indicate the production year to be 1974, other cards are marked 1975. The complete 9 card Checklist Puzzle featuring a puzzle of Fantastic Four #100 has a copyright date of 1975. “Just FYI the complete run should include the 2 variant stickers. So a total of 42. Spider-man 2 "bug off" Captain Marvel "which way to the John?".
This set DOES NOT include these two variants. However, I have included a visual in the Photo Section with images of these two variants.
