- Biggest of the big names seems to have
been Michael Jackson, and Globe regularly racked up
sales of more than
two million each time he was featured on the cover.
- Other big names
driving sales of this supermarket tabloid were Princess Diana, Brooke
Shields,
Johnny Carson, Joan Collins, Boy George, Glen Campbell, Linda Gray, and
the country supergroup Alabama, as well as stories on TV's prime time
soap operas
Dallas, Dynasty, and Falcon Crest.
