Jupiter-8 (Юпитер-8) lens is a Soviet/Russian-made copy of a Zeiss Sonnar 50/2. It was produced in both Contax/Kiev bayonet mount and in Leica thread mount.

The lens is GOOD condition, clean glass, exterior shows age - cosmetics only, performance is not affected. The focusing is smooth.

This Jupiter-8 comes with generic front and rear caps.
The Jupiter-8 came standard on some Zorki cameras (Zorki, Zorki-2S, Zorki-3, Zorki-4 to name a few).

The lens is shown mounted on a Leica II (camera is for illustration only and is not included).  Also, note that the lens you receive will have a different serial number, but will be identical model and version, and the condition will be as shown or better.

Jupiter-8 is a great fast prime lens, it can be used on any Leica (or Leica copy), thread mount or M mount (with an adapter).

It is also a popular choice for a prime lens on many mirrorless cameras, Micro Four Thirds, Sony Nex, and others. A variety of adapters is available.
