Here we have a wonderful figure of a rugged blacksmith leaning on his hammer.  The blacksmith or smithy is wearing his leather apron and long cap to protect him when he’s working in his forge. Blacksmiths were skilled craftsmen who were required staples of every town prior to the industrial revolution.  Measuring 5 ½” wide by 6 ½” in height, this is in near mint condition with 3 shallow chips that don’t detract on the underside of his beard, the bottom on his apron and edge of the base.  The underside is impressed “EE / 24”.
