To get it to form to the tank, lightly heat up and it will form to it. (not to much or it will deform when you are pushing on it)

You can heat it up at your kitchens oven at 100 celcius at only 45 seconds like the picture. 

If you dont have oven you can heat it with a hairdrier like 1-2 minutes from back of emblem.
