For sale is an unusual sterling cigarette case from the “Kappa Beta Phi” secret society, dated 1953, by Watson.  The case is 4 5/8 inches long by 3 1/8 inches wide by 3/8 inch thick and weighs 154 grams.  It has ribbed and engine-turned exterior, with a [GHF] monogram is rectangular reserve.  It has a spring-hinge at the left edge and a push-button catch at the right.  It has a spring-loaded arrow-shaped restraint bar.  The interior is gilded.  It is engraved inside the lid with a Kappa Beta Phi key emblem over “WALL STREET CHAPTER / IN APPRECIATION JAN, 16 1953”.  It is marked “STERLING” with the Watson trademark and “2679/AL”.  Kappa Beta Phi is largely made up of top financial executives, and the Wall Street chapter is the only one still active.  It may be possible to identify the original owner.

Condition on the case is very good.  There are some minor blemishes, but it doesn’t look like it was used much at all.  A fine cigarette case from a noteworthy organization.
