The creative force behind Quarter is the Danish designer Louise Christ.
During the design phase she considered a wide range of possible approaches to the problem of finding a candle holder flexible enough to be used in any context – be it a romantic dinner for two, or on a long banquet table for fifty.
Her ultimate solution was ingenious: small, slightly curved pieces that are discretely held together by magnets, and which can be combined with other sets ad infinitum (which means, like, forever).
