Here we have an 1800s sugar bowl with lid that is absolutely stunning.  The sugar bowl and lid were molded using a red earthenware clay and fired with a white glaze on the outer surface.  Next, the potter applied blue, brown and green glaze producing this bold marbled agate decoration.  The lid has a flat sided knob easy to grasp to pick up.  Measuring 4 ½” in height to the top of the knob on the lid, by 4 ¼” in width across the sugar bowl.   This is in original mint condition with no damage or repairs.  This sugar is extremely rare, you’re not likely to find another one like this.
