Large-format fold-out 1966 road map of Gainesville and Alachua County, Florida, printed more than 54 years ago.

  • The map opens to 18¼" x 29" and has good detail on old street and highway alignments.


  • The city map is on one side and shows schools, railroads, the John R. Alison Airport, Sunland Training Center, Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, V.A. Hospital, and the University of Florida.


  • The Alachua County map is on the other side, with a legend key to city, county, and state offices.


  • Condition:  The map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with minor wear on a couple of fold corners and no marks or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.


  • It was prepared by the Perry C. McGriff Company, 313 East University Avenue, Gainesville and is dated April 14, 1966.


  • It was published by Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and is copyrighted on the rear panel.
