Honore Daumier's "The Scoffer" Bonded Bronze Sculpture 19th Century French Caricature Statue Signed

19th century French artist Honore Daumier's satirical sculpture "The Scoffer".

This tabletop sculpture is made of bonded bronze (bronze powder mixed with resin), finished in a bronze patina and mounted to a black solid wood plinth. The back of the sculpture is inscribed by the artist "Daumier". Daumier was famous for his satirical caricatures of French political figures, both in paintings and sculptures.

This "Scoffer" stands just over 10" tall on a 3" square base, and weighs almost 2.5 lbs.

It's in very good condition with no cracks or breaks, with just some finish wear on the black wood base. An excellent small Daumier sculpture for your home or display.
