Set of 4 issues of Philharmonic, a jazz magazine from the Netherlands that was edited by the Dutch band leader Johnny James under the auspices of the Dutch Hot Club from 1950 onwards. The magazine focused predominantly on the American jazz scene and American artists performing in The Netherlands, with occasional stories about the British and Dutch scenes. The editorial staff included a wide range of renowned international jazz critics such as Hugues Panassié, Lou van Rees, Buck Clayton, Harry Nicolausson etc. This set contains the Feb, Mar, Oct-Nov and Dec issues of 1953.

Condition: In used, but good condition. Some signs of ageing such as wrinkles or spine wear. The March issue has one torn corner (wrapper only, see photo).
