Main Features
Belt Drive CD Mecha
In order to read signals at a constant linear speed, a music CD must gradually reduce its rotational speed as it moves toward the periphery. This linear velocity adjustment is usually handled by the spindle motor. In general CD players and transports, a motor is placed directly under the disc turntable, and a direct-drive system is used to drive the turntable directly connected to the motor shaft. However, in order to achieve controlled and stable rotation, a relatively large motor must be used, and there is no escaping the signal distortion caused by the vibration and electromagnetic noise generated by the motor.
The original belt drive system used to solve this problem increased the mass of the turntable by using a heavyweight CD stabilizer, and the inertial force was used to achieve extremely smooth and stable disk rotation. By reducing the size of the motor, positioning it away from the disc's axis of rotation, and driving it with a belt from a distance, it can absorb vibrations, creating an ideal environment for reading and transmitting music signals stably and accurately. In addition, the TL5 uses a structure that allows the user to reach the belt at any time, improving ease of handling such as maintenance.

output terminal
It has three digital outputs: balanced AES/EBU, COAXIAL (RCA), and TOSLINK (square light). All terminals are attached directly to the circuit board, which is responsible for control and signal transmission, thereby minimizing transmission paths and ensuring stable signal quality.

Display
Uses fluorescent display with excellent visibility. dimmer function
toggles the brightness in three levels (Light, Off, Dark).
