The border of the plates are periwinkle-ish purple with white swirls bordered by a black line. The bottom of the plates are stamped: Sakura/ Dishwasher Safe/ Microwave Safe/ Genuine Stoneware/ Indonesia/ Caribbean Wave/ c. 1996/ Designed by Sue Zipkin."
