Here is a wonderful (and very rare!) 18 inch by 10.25 inch, heavier stock PROMOTIONAL advertising poster for the 30th ANNUAL MONTEREY JAZZ FESTIVAL held at the Monterey Fairgrounds on SEPTEMBER 18, 19, 20, 1987. This 30th edition of the Jazz Festival featured RAY CHARLES, B.B. KING, ETTA JAMES, BUDDY GUY, the MODERN JAZZ QUARTET, the WOODY HERMAN BAND and many more. These heavy stock posters were used in the newspaper racks/"headers" to promote the Jazz Festival so people would see them when buying their daily newspaper in the Monterey Bay Area in 1987. The poster is brightly colored (NO SUNFADING!) and dated. These items were never meant to last past their display period and were usually torn out of the racks with very little care and, most of the time, torn and discarded after the Jazz Festival. This one has been shown a little more "TLC". There is creasing and bends to the left side of the board (probably the side it was taken out of the rack), a small hole at the top of the "chair" and at the top of the "zero" in 20 where it was stapled to the rack backboard and some bumping to the corners and edges. These look terrific matted and framed (we have one in our office!) and would make a nice addition to any jazz collection. It will be mailed flat.

We ship all items in the U.S. and we do ship and sell WORLDWIDE.
