On October 3, 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine presented a circulation commemorative coin "Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine". This coin is identical in its characteristics to the ordinary 10 hryvnia circulation coin of the 2018 model. At the same time, its reverse is thematic, dedicated to servicemen of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The circulating commemorative coin was presented by the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Oleksiy Shaban, and the Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Ihor Tansyura. "Today, the basis of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are men and women far from military professions: teachers, cultural and scientific figures, entrepreneurs, farmers, IT specialists, bankers and representatives of other professions. The main thing that unites them is cohesion and readiness with weapons in the hands of protecting the independence and peaceful future of our Motherland. By creating such circulating commemorative coins, with the image of military symbols and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we strive to remind millions of Ukrainians every day during cash payments of the heroic feat of our soldiers who defended the right on the battlefield Ukraine to freedom," commented the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank, Oleksiy Shaban. He added that by introducing this new coin into circulation, the National Bank continues the practice of minting circulation commemorative coins with the image of military symbols and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the future, the National Bank plans to issue such coins into circulation several times a year in accordance with international experience. "Ready to resist" is the motto of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, engraved on the coin that we are presenting today. More than one hundred thousand Ukrainians joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In a fairly short time, thousands of people were transformed into warriors. And during the seven months of our struggle, we proved that we are ready for resistance and that our resistance stops the enemy. A coin has a price, but the contribution of soldiers is priceless," said Major General Ihor Tansyura. The circulating commemorative coin "Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" continues the "Armed Forces of Ukraine" series. The reverse of the coin depicts two stylized figures of servicemen, and as well as the logo and slogan of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: "Ready to resist". The obverse of the coin is identical to the obverse of the 2018 10 hryvnia circulation coin, it depicts the denomination of the coin, the year of minting and the coat of arms of Ukraine in the center framed by an ancient Russian ornament. all other circulating coins of Ukraine, the circulating commemorative coin "Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" is mandatory for acceptance without any restrictions on its face value for all types of cash payments. Sale of such coins as numismatic products by banks-distributors will not be carried out. The National Bank will hand over the circulating commemorative coins to banks and SIT companies for further issuance to clients and/or receipts received from customers as ordinary circulation coins with a denomination of 10 hryvnias. Almost 10 million such commemorative circulation coins will gradually be introduced into cash circulation. At the same time, part of the circulation of the circulation commemorative coin "Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" will be formed into specially designed clips, which will be sold by distributor banks as souvenir products. The video will include 40 circulating commemorative coins with a denomination of 10 hryvnias each. Each video has a holographic element (with a kinetic effect) depicting the logos of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The circulation of the videos is 12,500 pieces.

The 10-hryvnia coin is made of a zinc-based alloy with a nickel coating, minting quality category - "uncirculated", weight - 6.4 g, diameter - 23.5 mm, circulation - 10,000,000 pieces (including 500,000 pieces - souvenir products in the form of specially designed videos). The band of the coin is grooved.
