Kalimeris indica is a rare flowering herbaceous perennial plant of the family Asteraceae (Compositae). Kalimeris indica, occurs mainly in eastern Asian countries of China, Korea and Japan.Kalimeris indica commonly occurs on abandoned farm land, slopes of hills and ridges between rice fields. It is also often found along roads and trails in hardwood forests. It can reproduce sexually through production of seeds and asexually through stolons.Can grow to a height of 30–70 cm. Young leaves and stems are collected in early spring time and cooked with other food items such as dried tofu (bean curd). It is considered a delicacy because of its special flavor. It is particularly popular south of Yangtze River in China.Roots and the whole plant of Indian aster is used in traditional Chinese medicine 

This is a clump-forming, first year flowering perennial that is noted for its long summer and autumn bloom of daisy- like flowers (2,5 cm across) featuring pale lilac rays and golden yellow stamens. Its attractive narrow leaves remain lush green in colour throughout the season. Kalimeris is a fine choice for borders or containers. The flowers are also excellent for cutting. This plant tolerates both moist and dry conditions. Easy to grow and mildew free. Very showy, resembles Felicia or Brachycome -but it's hardy and long lived!

-Aftercare: full sun to part shade and well drained soil; hardy to -30 C; cut back after flowering;

Wash Kalimeris Indica, boil it for 2 minutes. Drain the water, let dry & cool.
Chop the Kalimeris Indica after it is cold.
