Measures 2 5/8 X 2 13/16 X 7/8” and according to the paper with it, was the original engraved boxwood block for Martin Seckler’s first colophon, from when he began his publishing business in 1910. has his initials and Roman Numerals MCMX, and an incredibly intricate and detailed floral type pattern. The detail is exquisite and was done by a master wood carver. It does have a split and is repaired with a mortise joint- Probably happened long long ago.
