Vintage 1970s Hornsea Saffron Sugar Canister Jar Retro Made in England.

Hornsea Pottery produced Saffron from about 1970 to 1992.  It was designed by John Clappison and was produced in the same shapes as Heirloom and Bronte. Its distinctive caramel, orange and brown colouring helped it to become very popular and it was sold in very large quantities.

Hornsea Saffron is a very popular line of discontinued pottery from Hornsea Pottery. Instantly recognisable with it's creamy white interior, orange exterior and patterned with small circles, it is quite sought after today. Pieces are sometimes hard to find in excellent condition.

Approx. 16 cm high x 12 cm wide
