Promotional poster for Air France produced by Jean Cocteau. We see a Parisian smoking a cigarette. The smoke merges with the trails left by the planes. We recognize the Seine as well as the Eiffel Tower.
This lithograph was produced in 75 copies, the original drawing was made in pastel.

Air France is the French national airline company, founded on October 7, 1933. Its main activities are the transport of passengers and freight as well as the maintenance and servicing of airplanes.
It serves the main French airports as well as many foreign airports.
Its main connection hub is located at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport with which it has numerous operating agreements.
 Paris-Orly airport is the second hub of the company, which uses it mainly for flights to overseas territories and for regional flights. The company is part of the privatized Air France-KLM group and is also a founding member of the Skyteam alliance.
Air France is one of the companies to serve the largest number of destinations in the world with Turkish Airlines and has one of the largest Boeing 777 fleets. In addition, Air France is the only airline in the world to have operated all airplanes of the Airbus family (A300 (withdrawn from the fleet), A310 (withdrawn from the fleet), A318, A319, A320, A321, A330, A340 (withdrawn from the fleet), A350, and finally A380 (withdrawn from the fleet )).
Jean Cocteau born July 5, 1889 in Maisons-Laffitte and died October 11, 1963 in Milly-la-Forêt is a French poet, painter, designer, playwright and filmmaker.
Elected to the French Academy in 1955 and one of the artists who marked the 20th century, he rubbed shoulders with most of those who animated the artistic life of his time. He was the impresario of his time, the trendsetter, the good genius of countless artists. Despite his literary works and artistic talents, Jean Cocteau always insisted on the fact that he was above all a poet and that all work is poetic.
