Sabena (Societé Anonyme Belge d'Exploitation de la Navigation Aérienne) was the Belgian national airline founded in 1923 and declared bankrupt in 2001.

In the 1950s, Sabena acquired a fleet of helicopters for the first regular international passenger connections on the European continent. Called HELIBUS, it started on the first of September 1953 from Brussels heliport.

Sabena purchased the helicopters from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation of the USA. The helicopters for passenger transport were the Sikorsky S-55. These helicopters were originally intended for military service (then called S-19).

On this poster, a Sikorsky S-55 is in the foreground. In the background there is a Belgian Air Lines plane with the old flag of SABENA (black, blue, red and yellow triangles and a yellow star in the blue field) on the rear wing. This flag combined the Belgian colors with those of the Belgian Congo.
