Secondary batteries are becoming more and more common as they are a safety system that can prevent the main battery from draining and unable to start, making it a normally safe and reliable solution.
However, you also need to charge the second battery frequently. The Charge Mate series connects both batteries during charging and keeps them isolated during discharge. The Charge Mate 1202 and 2502 are especially practical for small systems, while the Charge Mate Pro 90 provides additional functionality by limiting the charge current to the second battery to 90. In this way, the main battery is charged as a priority. The return current is automatically blocked, which reduces voltage dips in the on-board network. Provides the emergency start function by connecting an optional bypass switch.
